After reading the chronological order of events about the controversial PEP article on the ‘gun-toting’ incident involving Richard Gutierrez, I am inclined to believe PEP has a valid point in waiting this long time before publishing it. I’m glad PEP did not succumb to the threats of the Gutierrez family – once again, Annabelle and her family’s credibility was crushed! Hurray for truth and freedom of speech … or for whatever is left of it in the Philippines.

Case in point A:
The controversial ‘gun-toting’ article per se is harmless. Had it been presented and shown to Richard’s lawyers before he filed his libel case, Richard would had been advised against setting his foot in the house of courts.

Case in point B:
Obviously, as it had been said all over the print, TV and radio medium, the Gutierrez family’s English reading comprehension is so limited to conclude ‘gun-toting’ as equivalent to ‘tinutukan’ or ‘tutukan ng baril’. And Ruffa claims to be an English-speaking gal? The word ‘toting’ came from the word ‘tote’, which means ‘to carry’ – just think of what a ‘tote bag’ means (a carry-on bag, if you don’t know what it means). Thus, ‘gun-toting’ means ‘carrying a gun’ or ‘carrier of a gun’ or ‘gun-carrier’. Simple, isn’t it?

Case in point C:
Richard said in one of his print and TV interviews that he felt like being treated like a criminal because of the article. And, if I remember right, Ruffa even claimed on print and on TV that Richard doesn’t own a gun. Hah! What a bunch of liars! Just so you know: an expired license for a gun is a criminal offence, Mr. Richard Gutierrez. It is inexcusable and idiotic to claim otherwise. Or is such idiocy allowed in the Philippines? And hey, Ruffa has the nerve to defend Richard as to owning a gun – Richard actually has three guns in his name! Yeah, wrong accusation. Bummer!

Case in point D:
I’d like to believe something did happen inside the restaurant – but no one’s willing to talk. Those involved are either afraid, or have been gagged. You can tell from their evasive answers to straight questions. They have ‘Zorrot’ to protect … too many ‘vested interests’.

Case in point E:
Everyone said to be involved in this unfortunate and controversial incident all claimed not to have seen anything, or noticed anything amiss – particularly the very people involved. There’s no mistaking they all had too much to drink, thus, they can’t remember anything. Ask Ely Quizon how much alcohol had he really consumed that night. Ask Michael Flores how drunk was he that night. I’ll bet he can’t even recall how many times he went back and forth that well observed lavatory.

Case in point F:
The ‘gun-toting’-incident did happen at the restaurant’s parking lot. When Ely Quizon was confronted with the facts on how he handled the gun in his hands, he came clean about it. But regardless of who held it or not, bottomline is the fact that Richard Gutierrez owns the gun – geez, it’s registered in his name. I’m sure he’s now thinking of how to explain these ‘misunderstandings’, or perhaps he’s likely to throw in the usual ‘blame game’ synonymous to their family nature.

Case in point G:
If Annabelle and her family have some decency left in their bones: they should fire Jun Lalin as their publicist. He is a baggage to drop as he knows not what he is doing, or what he has done, or have done. Or, was the instruction given to him is to drum up the controversial PEP article for publicity sake? Or, did the Gutierrez’ family saw an opportunity to stake in some quick cash through a ‘libel case’? Tsk, tsk, tsk … so very ill-advised.

My recommendations:
Subject all involved in a lie-detector test – that will surely be a field day! Once and for all, the general public will be entertained in identifying the big LIARS which plagued the entertainment industry.

Now, who’s going to give Richard Gutierrez Php25M for his wounded ego? Definitely, not PEP.

The above are barrage of articles written in PEP (the comment section is of course very interesting) detailing the incident involving Richard and his display of arrogance. Well, I was not in the least surprised.

It is really a puzzle why the pinoy biz tolerate this Gutierrez clan and their appalling and blatant display of their arrogance as if they're gods to concede to.

I'd dare say that they are not a great loss to the pinoy entertainment industry. Let them vanish into thin air .... let the real fresh talent breeze in and give the biz fresh air to breathe in.

how overwhelming! socio-civic activity instead of a birthday party for ruffa's small princesses? another publicity scoop and low gimmickry from the gutierrez clan. i've heard differently ... is it true that the gutierrez money flow is running dry?

I heard from the grapevine that this movie the MAD-tandem's so very proud of is nothing but a monstrous eardrum wrecking experience to those who went to see it. Not even worth watching says some.

Annabelle Rama is not only an eyesore, listening to her monologue in her "palengkere" pitch would damage your precious hearing ... and Ruffa's no better - yaiks! Ruffing's acting is so annoying and TVH (trying very hard).

I wouldn't be surprised if they would claim that it made money .... what do you think?

isn't it apparent that richard gutierrez always get to pair himself with whoever is currently "it" among the newest and brightest of the young female stars. still, he can't get pass the "winning" gal to really boost his career to great heights among real actors in the philippine cinema - richard gutierrez sure can deliver the local showbiz' "kilig" factor, but acting wise he's too "stale", as some observers (me included) would say. he was paired with angel locsin - it sizzled and then died as soon as their projects were over and done with. richard sort of tried to "hitch" with the popularity of marian rivera of marimar fame - hoping to get a box office result in their first team up, and you probably all know what happened to the movie. now comes kc concepcion, and whoopla - movie projects to boot!

well, do the math ... could it be just another one of the infamous "gutierrez-bubbles"? all talk no fireworks in the end? i am curious as to know how much is pure press release and how much press is really solid. let's wait and see ...

i'm sorry, but i just can't help posting this .... i just have to share (in case you haven't heard).

though thousand of miles away from the Philippines, i make it a point to touch base on what's going on out there by reading online mags and newspapers from Manila. while at it i came across Brian's blog which is fascinating in many ways possible - and he confirmed once more how things work in the Philippines. i felt so sad ... you see, there is nothing wrong about the Philippines per se ... it is some people, and a handful lot, who brings shame and bad reputationin to the Philippines as a country.

Brian's plight is just one of those things that happen in the Philippines - and boy how he brought the house down against the so-called "elites" of the Philippines.

i was browsing this celebrity mag online and saw an article about the libel case being thrown at lolit solis by some philippine matinee idols. i can't help laughing as i read lolit solis' counter claim of having evidence supporting what she claimed to have seen by her two eyes. geez - lolit's story smells stink all the way down here.

1) in her original article, she claimed she did not really recognise who the guys were at first. it was the so-called waiter who told her - now, that is not what i'd call an eyewitness account as she claimed it to be. when you depend on another person's account, that's "hearsay" - well, according to the law books .... unless lolit have a different book of laws.

2) lolit laments to the public why was it that she was the one being picked on about her "claim" and "namedropping" of the two matinee idols being "gay". she continued to boast that she was not the only one who said so in public and in print. geez - the case, as i understood, is a LIBEL case: meaning lolit has accused someone falsely and with malice intent. points as brought to court was that a) she falsely claimed that the two matinee idols were at the Sofitel coffeeshop; and b) she claimed with malice that it was these two whom she saw "sweet to each other as the whispered in each other's ears ..." - those, if proven untrue, are enough cause for libel, with intent and malice.

in philippines showbiz, anything and everything goes. i can only wish that evidence against this lolit solis character holds in the courts - throw her to the pack of wolves in jail where she belongs .... hmmpp!

yes, i find it appalling for some people to claim, or write even, false eyewitness account at the expense of another person. moreso when people bear false witness against another person. how could they? i can't understand how someone would fall prey into that trap? where has one's decency gone? where is common sense in all these charade and chain of lies leading us to? how could all this be tolerated?

i'd like to start fresh with a new topic ... about someone more refreshing, true to her being and very down to earth. at least that is how i see this gal, KC Concepcion - the newest addition to pinoy showbiz tinseltown.

i watched her TV special on YouTube, KC from Paris to Pinas, and i must say i'm impressed with what i saw. i would best describe her simplicity, humour and humility as ace factors aside from being born to showbiz' popular parents, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion.

there are, of course, quite a number of comments and observations right after this special - some good, others were critical - in both good and bad way. i read how one described KC's visit to her friend's charity for abused children as pathetic and patronising. well, i beg to disagree. while it's true that far too many celebrities use "charities" as a PR coup, i don't think KC did that for the sake of upping up her image to the filipino people. she did that in support of her friend - she made one and all aware of this charity's existence.

KC exhibited her own talents on this TV special ... her independence, her mind and spirit, her innermost thoughts and what her Paris experience has taught her - thank goodness not the hollow expectation of the filipino showbiz public to be "cute" in public, not "reinventing" herself to suit showbiz and its patronisers. it's sort of a "what-you-see-is-what-you-get"-attitude. i kinda like that.

yup, that's the darling in KC Concepcion. how all this will develop is another thing ... i hope she'll retain her sanity and intelligence in dealing with the crazy world of pinoy showbiz ...

i just read the inquirer article about the arrest of the self-exiled Jose Maria Sison in The Netherlands ... this was initiated by virtue of an arrest warrant upon the request of the Philippine Government through the Interpol (?) ... oh well, if other governments are this accommodating to the Philippines, i really wonder what the Philippines would do if charges against ruffa stepped up in other countries such as the USA and Turkey - will they turn over ruffa for prosecution in a foreign soil where she committed her "self-confessed crimes"? makes me wonder ..... well, whatever will be, will be ...

people have claimed such charges were in place ... that the authorities involved were just waiting for ruffa to make one move of mistake to make that "jump" on her ... if this is the case, is such "sison-fate" - arrest on foreign soil - likely to happen to ruffa?

first of all, thank you for coming to this blog site ... what an overwhelming response to the last post - wow, 410 comments to wit! they are all very interesting read, and yes, truly informative.

anyway, as you have already observed, ruffa is at it again - what a circus! what a show! and who is she kidding? or rather, who is she fooling this time around? only the lowest and dumbest sort of people in the philippines? oh, you'd come across them on PEP forums ... aplenty!

i have my own observations and thoughts about the latest development in the ruffa-yilmaz brouhaha - so, here it is ...

yilmaz' "homecoming"
ok, what made him decide to come to manila? did you have the chance to read the link below? if not, please do so ....

in this interview, yilmaz said: "She send to me a message and she told me I have to come to pick them up. Those were the magic words."

to which ruffa explained : "Well, he kept saying, ‘Come meet me here. Come meet me there.' I think it's just proper that he's the man and he should come to me in the Philippines."
(note: this reply made me think ruffa is trying to save face and justify her "message" to yilmaz)

anyone in their right mind can deduce that it was ruffa who's trying very hard to reconcile with yilmaz. her motives? i'd say she's got a number of reasons - and i'd bet two possible ones ...

1) the legit reason: her children (poor little ones to be used as pawns of their scheming mother)
2) the probable shady reason: ruffa misses the luxury of being "married" to yilmaz - regardless of where his supposed wealth comes from - and she need not work for the dough, too.

based on yilmaz' earlier pronouncements, if you are to believe them, he was ready to let go of ruffa. on the other hand, ruffa can't seem to decide whether to let go of yilmaz or keep him at bay using their children as the best excuse to keep their communication open. from what i heard, yilmaz has been calling the kids, not ruffa - but ruffa always managed to make it look like yilmaz is always calling her ... that yilmaz is after reconciliation and is keeping tab on her. well, yes, i believe he may be keeping tab on her - what she's up to all the time, the works. why? i presume that it's because one "missed step", ruffa can say goodbye to the custody of their children - yilmaz have threatened to take their children from her as soon as he has proof that ruffa is not fit as mother of his children. that's one reason why ruffa shied away from "trouble" and "showbiz gimmicks".

when ruffa subjected yilmaz to this TV interview, she has her one and only motive - to vindicate herself in public that she's telling the "truth" about her battery and abuse in the hands of yilmaz. her questions are very leading ... the turk went along even as he was put on the spot by ruffa - ruffa may be all smiles, but i'd say i have this gut feeling ... a very bad gut feeling that there's something in yilmaz that doesn't look quite right. you can tell by the way he tried to defend himself from some of ruffa's point-blank questions. also, ruffa wanted to have that public display of "how much yilmaz love her" - that everything is forgiven between them. geez, even that "nudge" towards buying a house in manila for her is a very obvious and desperate cry for financial support from yilmaz. ruffa may be overjoyed to "vindicate" herself in public when she toyed with yilmaz in that manner, but there is something "fishy" about yilmaz as he sat there with ruffa all throughout the interview. despite all that exchange of looks between them, their body language and facial expressions (especially their eyes) tells a lot more ... ruffa's smiles and light banter were obviously nervous and defensive ... it looked romantic to some, but upon closer scrutiny and observation, you'd think otherwise. the look on her face each time she address yilmaz on something seemed like she's seeking approval and confirmation of some sort from yilmaz - she looked like one who's in a fit of nervous laughs almost afraid yilmaz would say something not to her liking and is quick to justify herself.

subjects as discussed openly on national TV about resettlement in spain, reconciliation, marriage counselling, verbal expression of love and devotion to each other, "marital" woes and expectations from each other all seemed too scripted to me. i have my doubts about all these pronouncements ... my gut feeling says so.

- ruffa's kabit, though still mooning about her, is obviously out for a vengeance (big time!), not only because of ruffa hurting his pride and ego but also for the insult ruffa inflicted to his family and religion - a religion ruffa once believed (?), embraced and voluntarily converted to

- this kurd is not likely to push for the bigamy case against ruffa knowing that penalty for such could result to death for ruffa ... i guess this kurd is leaving this business to some militant muslim to take care of. it would be his way of "washing his hands clean".

imagine this: a demand to prosecute for justice in a muslim court from a third party .... seeking justice for the islam religion .... blah blah blah blah ..... (you can fill in the rest in your imagination)

- a fraud case is almost always penalised in europe, turkey is no exception. no crime is a small crime - it's a crime period. you don't laugh nor brush aside the implication of laws in a civilised country ... you cannot bribe or sweet talk your way out of a crime in their system.

- i can assure you that somehow, somewhere, there is a brewing bigamy case being prepared against ruffa. it could be in the philippines or anywhere abroad. at this point in time, it is only a matter of "wait and see". this could just blow smack on ruffa's face - she'd better be prepared to defend herself. she has armed the justice's advocate with her self-admissions on both print and TV media which could be used against her - she can claim ignorance of the law, but dahlings, it's no excuse.

- if ruffa really gets summoned to Istabul to face fraud charges, she'd better show up. she will need representation from both Turkey and the Philippines to present her side of the case - boy, she will need TONS OF DOUGH! i hope she would not ignore such a summon, because if she does, she could get slapped with another case for avoiding a court appearance - and THAT would be adding obvious guilt to her fraud case ... just another "bullet" for the prosecution. in all legal entanglements, one should not "test" nor "annoy" the courts - you'd only get into more trouble.

- if ruffa really returns to Istanbul, the kurd "wins", sort of. it has always been his wish for ruffa to return to him. and he is likely to "take care of her" and "treat her like a princess".

- ruffa ought to fight her "battles" according to her conscience ... she holds the truth and answers to the questions that hounded her. it is now up to her to oblige the court, and the public, the truth and nothing but the truth.

on another note, isn't it so quiet, ALL TOO QUIET, in the entertatinment press of any vocal support for ruffa about the recent events? no drumming, no fanfare? i think it was only robin padilla who voiced his support openly - and those who attended her tacky birthday party? hell, for all you know, they're only there for the free booze!

what happened to her wedding ninongs and ninangs? i'm very curious if sharon cuneta made any comments when things have come to light about her lies and deception? knowing sharon to be "politically correct" as she's been trained all her life, i guess she will distance herself from ruffa. will the powerful ninongs and ninangs extend a "helping hand" or a "slapping hand"? will they let themselves be used by ruffa? but hey, come to think of it, HER MARRIAGE IS A FRAUD - so, they are not obliged to do so, right? they are no ninongs nor ninangs afterall. what a thought!

now it can be told! my very reliable source has tipped me of one very interesting development in the lives of annabelle rama and ruffa gutierrez. it sure raised my eyebrows - and my disgust barometer peaked to unimaginable high. really, words alone cannot express my loathe, hate and yes, disgust when i hear such stories.

how true is it that annabelle's "hiding" from her creditors? ok, let's just say "avoiding" her creditors? that she's said to be "faking" fainting spells and "chest problems" everytime her loan of multi-million pesos from different creditors would surface? i gathered that she's really borrowed a lot of money left and right to "support" her family and in keeping up their "luxuries". imagine this, borrowing from very influential people from both the entertainment industry as well as "friendly" politicians! annabelle is now said to be trying her darnest best to charm her creditors, writing IOUs and promisory notes of every kind - go figure! her motor mouth is now on "pause-mode" ... re-thinking strategy perhaps? one very funny story i heard is that how annabelle "conned" a very prominent and real princess (though she's now divorced to her prince and has since remarried) - not only once, but twice! could this really be true? the story goes that the first time this princess was approached was when annabelle sweet-talked her to co-produce concerts with her - the concerts turned out to be all sold out but no money could be found nowhere. not really needing the money, the princess simply let it go and distanced herself from annabelle (and the likes of her, i hope). then in 2006, annabelle, for the second time, approached the princess for another loan - a huge loan, mind you - promising her a "soon windfall of payment from ruffa". dear reader, are you doing your math while reading this? anyway, it was said that annabelle wanted to borrow a sizeable amount to buy a property in an exclusive makati residential area, but the princess still recall the bad business she had with annabelle - she did say no to what annabelle asked to borrow, but she let annabelle borrow something like Php5 million to be paid by the end of year 2006. the princess wanted this transaction legal that she had a contract drafted for annabelle to sign which annabelle jokingly refused to do so - saying she'd prefer to have the loan "behind the books" - GRRRR! the princess, of course, refused as she wanted this done for tax purposes and BIR records. well, the princess waited to get paid in vain ... annabelle's avoiding the "money issue" every time she meets the princess - even after receiving a call from the princess herself. would you like to know where the Php5 million went? when confronted about her loan, annabelle told a tale of woes that it is now she who is supporting ruffa until she could stand on her own feet, that the "expected" alimony after the divorce (?) from the kurd is still a problem and that she still have some problems with her other creditors and that she still has a pending embezzlement case (ask Bert Nievera). the princess, upon hearing annabelle's excuses, simply would not accept it. with the help of her own connections, the princess stepped up her claim for payment and lo and behold - annabelle gave a different story. apparently, annabelle confessed that the Php 5 million were sent to ruffa in istanbul at the time her kurd husband was in jail in support of the lavish lifestyle ruffa was used to. even at that point, ruffa was already planning to divorce the kurd. if this is true, wouldn't you think that both mother and daughter have really planned their scheme to "milk" the kurd? yeah, go ahead - raise your eyebrows ... i did raised mine. karma worked its wonders when it backfired - they could not collect a dime from the kurd! now, the princess has advised her lawyers to do something about the case and to let annabelle (and ruffa) know of her intentions to collect what is due to her. you see, the princess is truly a kind soul to the needy, but i guess she simply wouldn't let her kindness be used and abused of the likes of annabelle. so, do you still wonder why annabelle is silent and fading in the background?

... is actually a brat of a gal even in her teens. you see, moving around the right "circles", you'll be surprised about the amount of stories you'd get to hear. when i heard this particular story, it made me think that ruffa, even at a young age, had already exhibited this "disorder" of being a brat and always trying to get everything she wants, no matter what the consequence would be. is the story true? well, i'd like to ask eddie gutierrez when i see him ... i hope i get to do so in my lifetime.

apparently, upon the return of the gutierrez family to the philippines (after their famous kaldero-selling days in the USA), they got invited to several different social events in the entertainment industry. at one time, one very prominent figure showed eddie and ruffa (dunno if annabelle was there) his prized possessions in terms of art collection and jewelry. ruffa allegedly asked if she could try a tiara of precious stones and was allowed to wear it for the night - and mind you, she wouldn't want to part with it, and even tried if she can cry to have it. the tiara was said to cost a lot of money, and the poor host begged to have it back. even her father eddie begged her to give it back and couldn't convince her then. the prominent figure, who was then their host for the evening, threatened to call the cops if eddie can't make her ruffa return the precious tiara. it was only then it was returned. you can just imagine the bucket of tears (?) ruffa must have shed when she didn't get that tiara.

now, it makes you think, could this event in her teenage life somehow distorted her "innocence" that she has vowed to be "successful" to possess such material things money could buy? already then, she probably wanted to be treated like a "princess" ... and look what and where she is now.

Ruffa flee to USA – yes, with children, and yaya and annabelle in tow. She even managed to wage a word war with dolly anne carvajal when the latter translated and published links as emailed to her by her readers. She was peeved and slighted by the write up about her alleged marriage to a Richard Daloia and the piece about yilmaz’ family background. But why the heck can’t she confirm or deny these? To assault a respectable journalist such as Dolly Anne and accuse her of poor journalism is a big mistake ... you barked at the wrong tree, Ruffa! Now, it is likely that more of your hidden “can of worms” will be made available to the filipino public. Don’t you have any shame left in you?

He came to know about how Ruffa tried to turn the chain of event into her advantage – seeking public support and projecting herself as the “victim” in this drama, to the point of trying to revert the truth and imply to the public that she is the one leaving Yilmaz because “she can’t take it anymore” and not the other way around – the nerve! She made a circus of her marital problems, insulted the muslim community when she re-affirmed her christian faith (sic), played on the emotions and sympathies of the filipino people, and that of Yilmaz, too. I have suspected early on that Ruffa was not telling the truth as to the real issues surrounding Yilmaz’ ultimatum in seeking divorce – that Ruffa have to choose between their family or her career.

Yilmaz, according to Ruffa, hoped for a reconciliation – he seeked the opportunity for them to talk ... but Ruffa simply gave him the runaround. Why? Is it because she saw an opportunity to really break away from their marriage? Ok, their marriage ... hmmm?! Was their marriage even binding? Can someone show a copy of this so-called marriage registered in the Philippines? Did anyone bothered at all? You see, I’ve been trying to do some math here ... Ruffa supposedly got married to this Daloia guy in January 1999. She met Yilmaz during the Cannes Film Festival in 2000 – meaning Ruffa was still (?) married when she met Yilmaz? Did she managed to divorce the guy before she met Yilmaz? Or did she divorce the guy after she met Yilmaz? Why are there no divorce records found? There are records of the marriage, remember? Yilmaz and Ruffa got married in March 2003 – and at the same time Yilmaz announced Ruffa was pregnant. There’s talk on blog threads – could it be that Lorin is Daloia’s and not Yilmaz’ daughter? Venice look very much Eurasian compared to Lorin – I do hope this is all but pure gossip, for Ruffa’s sake.

Rumour started surfacing when Ruffa, time and again, showed up in Manila with her standard showbiz phrase – “I miss my family and friends”, “I miss showbiz”, “I have a commitment to fulfill” ... this could go on. People’s wagging tongues starting blabbering – something’s definitely wrong in her well acclaimed “Istanbul paradise”.

When Ruffa claimed she married Yilmaz for love – honestly, I doubted it from the very beginning. Boy, was it such a relief to be proven right all along. It’s not nice to gloat, but I sure did – just because all her big fat lies finally slapped her hard on her face.

Seeing the first video interview of Yilmaz where he struggled to explain his side in a language truly foreign to him, I feel his frustration, disappointment and sadness. This guy’s no saint, he never claimed himself to be. Ruffa was the one who’s been telling one and all what kind of a husband he is – directly and indirectly. The public has formed their very own impression on this guy ... all according to the information Ruffa so willingly addressed in her all too perfect ways. Some people were in awe, others squirmed (and got goosebumps in the process).

Yilmaz, according to the latest exchange of TV interviews and print media, has now claimed that Ruffa lied about a lot of things. He was right in saying that Ruffa was disrespectful of him (and his family, of course) – one has to go through all Ruffa’s interviews and will understand his sentiments. Honour to a muslim is sacred. Ruffa crossed this very dangerous line and Yilmaz will not be forgiving. Now, he claims that he will fight custody for his children – and he is likely to have Ruffa be declared as an unfit mother. For Yilmaz to even start this line of defense to bring in lawyers to settle and end their marital woes, Ruffa will surely be in a lot of trouble. She will now have to secure a substantiable evidence and solid proof why Yilmaz is not fit for custody of their children. In doing so, more “dirty linen” is likely to surface.

At this point in time, Annabelle suddenly got wise in advising Ruffa “not to talk anymore” – does she sense “trouble” herself? Ruffa have also maintained that she “never said anything against him” – how wrong she is! For goodness sake, to say that “husbands own their wives” in Yilmaz culture is already an insult to the guy. She has claimed to have embraced the muslim religion and culture earlier only to later turn her back on this very sacred part of her husband’s individuality – that is one big insult not only to Yilmaz but to his whole family as well. Also, to tell in print (and TV?) interviews that her husband doesn't speak (and understand?) English is another thing - that too is very insensitive of Ruffa. And if I may ask, how do they communicate in all those 7 years together? Her refusal to go back to Istanbul depriving Yilmaz of her presence as his wife and that of the children in more than two months speaks volume of disrespect. One need not say anything per se, Ruffa’s actions are bigger than words. Does Ruffa truly have a valid reason not to go back to Istanbul? What's the real issue behind the crying drama both mother and daughter displayed on national TV? Bear in mind that all her interviews are published and recorded – so, Ruffa, think first before you speak. For all you know, all these can be used against you.

This drama isn’t over yet ... it will surely get more and more complicated. Yes, Ruffa, consult the best lawyers there is. I’d say the circus is not over ... the “clowns” are still on centerstage, and so are the spectators as we ... waiting for the curtains to signal its end. Will it ever end?

so what holds true for the future of the little girls? they got entangled in a very ugly word-war between their parents - the parents who are supposed to take care of them and shield them from harm of any kind.

people in the know got VERY peeved at ruffa for calling dolly anne's article as poor journalism. such retaliation is truly uncalled for ... what does ruffa really know what journalism is all about? if she thinks she is truly slighted by the article, she could easily defend herself or yilmaz by telling the public that what was written in the article was not true at all. why couldn't she do just that? could it be that there's some shade of truth in it? for goodness sake, dolly anne is one of the most reliable entertainment writer there is in philippine showbiz - someone who wouldn't just write about anything unless she knew more about the subject. those who normally react to her articles are those who are narrowminded. one has to really read her articles and understand each and every word she writes, how she wrote it and the manner in which she presented and published the article. it is unfair for some people to draw and make their own interpretations of the article and not take it as it is - that's just simply wrong!

I did mention earlier that I have this very strong suspicion that there is something off about this Ruffa-Yilmaz affair.

As the drama continues, it gets even more bizarre. People are left in awe and amusement as we get ourselves “invited” into the lives of the Gutierrez-Bektas family as they give statements at one interview and the other. They say it is not our business and that they do not need “unsolicited advice” – well then, as many others have said, they might as well shut up and stop giving interviews and make a circus of their so called private and precious lives. The public speculation was sparked by the interviews they have been giving left and right. They enjoy the limelight, the attention they get from the media and the Filipino public – it would be a lie and hypocrisy in the highest level if they would claim otherwise. They are playing with the public’s sympathy and emotions by issuing conflicting and confusing statements – overlooking the fact that there are intelligent people at bay watching (and laughing) in silence, analyzing and investigating the truth beyond each and every claim they get the local print and TV media to print and publish on their behalf. Those who once had taken their side suddenly took notice … got confused themselves and started questioning the real score behind all this drama.

The weaving of the "happy-ever-after-fairytale"
Ruffa has claimed in public a lot of things which are far from the truth. If you are to go over the past interviews, she has projected a very happy married life. Everything is rosy and perfect. She told of the fabulous life she lived in Istanbul, her integration into a totally different lifestyle, her new family and new religion (only to revert back to christianity later on). To brag about the wealth and stature of her husband is one thing, to flaunt her material possessions is another thing. To exaggerate the truth about her involvement in the FTV Turkey-business only showed how she craved for public attention and recognition in the Philippines – she was convinced that everyone just got to know! Lo and behold, no one questioned the authenticity of the so-called ownership of the TV station – a realization came to her, an apparition – aha, I can say anything I want without any problem at all … I can stage a comeback and revive my “career” in the Philippines. You see, after the so many publicities she got after her marriage, her PR machinery concluded that they have to inject fluidity to feed the curiosity of many in the Philippines about her new lifestyle. Even to the extent of faking her resumé as a sought after celebrity in the Hello! Magazine (Turkey version) – what a fluke! Yes, we indeed got ourselves fed with all the “fairytale ingredients” in everything we read about her.

How does one keep the interest alive in a person? You make them admire you. And so came the different “humanitarian” projects – and she has to name drop her admiration for Angelina Jolie in all this, saying how much she admired Angelina’s humanitarian works. Why the reference? She doesn’t have any originality at all that she has to copy such act to get her in the loop and be proclaimed as “humanitarian” – the nerve! While Angelina’s causes are genuine, I can’t say the same for Ruffa – for me, it’s too shady, too hollow.

The acclaimed marital bliss later turned into a farce. An announcement was made that Ruffa and Yilmaz are to file for a divorce. In Ruffa’s official statement, which she claimed as a joint statement from her and Yilmaz, she cited their cultural differences as the cause of their separation and later indirectly claimed on national TV that she’s a battered wife. She said she realized only now, after 7 years together and in marriage, that such was a heavy burden to bear. But when Yilmaz issued his own statement, it turned out to be a rather different story. Tongues started wagging – people made their own interpretations, a lot of finger-pointing ensued, bashing here and there and it didn’t stop there … more drama …

True or false
Ruffa has embarrassed herself in public … she was caught in a lie. But instead of submitting herself to silence, she weaved more lies and deception to save face. More interviews surfaced … along with it came more secrets out in the open. Yes, Ruffa did finally get the attention of the Filipino public, but beyond the way she had hoped it to be. People made it their business to seek truth in all the claims she made in public.

- A happy married life (busted, fake, make-believe)

- A wealthy and of good standing of a husband (busted – she forgot to mention where the wealth is from and his family background)

- FTV Turkey Ownership (busted – they had “rights to manage” never owned it)

- Marriage to a Richard Daloia (many claimed this is true and there are records showing it)

All these were neither confirmed nor denied by Ruffa herself. Very few press would even touch on the subject? Why? These were already known in blog threads for as early as 2003 and intensified during 2004. These points were deemed outright as "sensitive" and "questionable" - the philippines press left it that way. There was no interest whatsoever to investigate the authencity of these claims. Your guess is probably as good as mine.

An aftermath
I don’t know if Ruffa and Yilmaz discussed the latter’s first statement to the press, but there are signs that they did. Bear with me on this one, why would Yilmaz retract some of his claims in the first statement? Why was Annabelle suddenly soft after the release of the second statement? Why the matter-of-factly attitude from the Ruffa camp? Suddenly, Ruffa is open for a possible reconciliation with her estranged husband? Is it really for the sake of their children?

Suddenly, Ruffa packed and left Manila with her children in tow, and of course, Annabelle is very much like a shadow behind. Destination: Los Angeles, USA. Why? Could it be that the unexpected interest of the general public to a certain Richard Daloia is one of the main reasons to this change of plan? Remember Ruffa claimed that she was to leave for Thailand and even hinted that Yilmaz will likely show up there? Then they began yet another circus – Yilmaz is suddenly here, there and everywhere! Again, your guess is probably as good as mine.

The drama of the latest development with Annabelle saying to Yilmaz to “leave Ruffa alone”, to “give her freedom” is just too much for a spectator as myself. In my opinion, Yilmaz do not have to leave Ruffa alone since Ruffa have already left a long time ago – without his permission as he has claimed in one of his statements. If Yilmaz is trying to get hold of Ruffa, it’s probably because he simply wants to put an end to this entire circus. And I guess the Gutierrez family is trying to give him a hard time, as to why, I can’t really tell – but suspicions, boy I got plenty!

A reflection
Having read everything there is to read about Ruffa, I find it very amusing that regardless of being caught red-handed in public, there is not an ounce of remorse or shame in her at all – and that’s too sad, to the point of having that queasy awful feeling that this saga full of lies and deceit is nothing new to her. Had she lived a life full of lies all this time? Had this been on from childhood, unto her teen and adult life? Was she brought up in a make-believe world all of her own, and that of her family? Is there any truth in her life at all, or had every little thing been about her, or her family had been a lie? One thing I can guarantee though – it’s so obvious that there’s a strong love, faith and devotion within their family … that is love, faith and devotion among themselves and nobody else.

so, for this purpose, yilmaz put up a company where he made ruffa its CEO to take care of business (?) - as to what her tasks really are is yet another thing since she undoubtedly have no knowledge as to how to take care of administration nor oversee the need of the TV station - and remember, she's mostly in the philippines during that period.

today, there will yet be another interview from annabelle in showbiz central. i am beginning to think all this hullabaloo is all a product of gimmickry - just for the show. the latest hype about ruffa's re-christening with invited TV and press people is a suave move from ruffa to get herself away from the muslim's sharia law in case yilmaz contest custody of her children. but she forgot something - she has dedicated herself in a muslim rite with yilmaz in istanbul, which still makes her WIFE of yilmaz ... and for her own sake, i just hope she didn't have a turkish citizenship, or dual citizenship for that matter.

one big puzzle really is the distance the whole gutierrez family have put between them and yilmaz. according to him, NOBODY in her family have talked or contacted him since this whole thing exploded in the newspapers. if true that it's only ruffa who speaks to him many times over the phone, who is there to know what the real score is. remember, rufa is a big liar - she could have said things opposite of what was really discussed between her and yilmaz. read between the lines in the above 2nd statement from yilmaz. now, everything looks very shady as a whole - drama, drama, drama.

there is already some betting going around - ruffa will definitely go back to istanbul. as to how is another question. yilmaz seemed determined for this to happen - so, let's wait and see.

is nothing but lies, lies, lies and more lies. i pity those who believe and hang on every word she weaves in public - what a waste! very few people know what's behind the facade. but who's to challenge all her lies? none i guess ... the pinoy showbiz circle loves her and her wild imaginations.

when will the filipino people realise that ruffa is only toying them in her little finger - she thinks so highly of herself that nothing matters except her material possessions - and her future investments ... that will be her two little girls. soon they will end up in the oblivion of endorsements for big bucks - i call that exploitation! well, like her mother before her, the easy way out to earn the big bucks is through the shallow world of make believe - the pinoy showbiz style.
